DTE in Thingy32/tablefiles...

Question : Are there ways to set some DTE-combinations to "overwrite" (in Thingy tablefiles) when several hexdecimal DTE-combinations are typed in line?

Here are 2 examples:

<--------1-----------
07=Yes
0C07=Hello

"0C=yes" works just fine, but "0C07" displays "HelloYes" in Thingy. I would like "0C07" to cancel out "07=Yes".
-----------/1---------->
<---------2------------
0C07=Hello
0D0C=Whoops

When "0D0C07" comes up in Thingy32, it reads "0D0C" as "Whoops", and leaves 07 as #. The problem is, that whenever these 3 hexdecimals comes up, it's "0C07" that is being used as DTE. How do I make Thingy32 calculate 0C07 before 0D0C?
-------------/2-------------------->

Here's another error that I get sometimes. I don't know if it's caused by Thingy32 or my computer (using XP).
<-------------3-----------------------
0540=Red
0541=Blue

Sometimes Thingy32 just won't insert the hexdecimals correctly when i type the words in (in this case Red and Blue). When I type Red", Thingy only inserts 05, while skipping 40. You'll notice this when Thingy requires you to input an extra character after the DTE before you can go on typing, without anything actually being written in the textbox.
--------------/3--------------->

Nr3 is most likely an error of some kind, but 1 and 2 really messes things up. At the same time, I need all the DTE to see the text, so putting it in different files aren't an optiion.

Thoughts anyone?

Use something that isn't so outdated as Thingy32.

Bongo`'s WindHex and Januschan's Translhextion are good choices. Each has its own advantages, but for the stuff you want to do, I recommend WindHex.

Old habits are hard to break I guess. Though it doesn't search quite as fast as Thingy, Windhex seems better from every other aspect.

Though I'm still getting the same problem (almost).

07=Yes
0C07=Hello
But in Windhex, 0C07 displays like "#Yes".

PS. Btw, why isn't Windhex on Zophars? ST seems to be down along with romhacking.com, so I had to download it from some spanish site...

Windhex is on stealth.romhack.net.
Bongo quit due to lack of translation support, though he left the Windhex link up due to request.

Try changing the location of the values around. Maybe that'll work.

As for why the program isn't here, the forum may still be active but there hasn't been any real activity in the main site for over a year.

try Translhextion then. I've used DTE in that with almost no problem (none of the issues you are having thoug)

there is one bug though. if the tewo bytes in DTE are seperated by the row of text, it won't diplay cprrectly, but when you dump it, it will be fine.

example
FF=z
0C07=Hello

FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF 0C | z z z z z z z z z z #
07 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF | # z z z z z z z z z z
