Capturing sound from multiple sources

I don't know what this is called, nor is it possible, so I wasn't having a very good time searching on google. In an upcoming event I am working on, I want to be able to capture sound from three microphones all on one computer, all three of these microphones are usb, so I would figure it would work as long as I had enough usb ports to accommodate the microphones. I highly doubt windows itself can do this, so I would also need a recommendation on the necessary software to use.

I am also capturing from multiple sources of video, and already found a program to suit those needs, WebcamMax did everything I required, but if anyone knew of anything better, i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

you could probably try audacity, which is an audio editor, i use that for when i'm playing my guitar, and i want to record something.

as for multi-video, you're on your own. i have a webcam, and i think i used it ~5 times.

What you need is a multi-track recorder.

They have digital ones now, of course. I don't have a recording studio so I can't recommend any though.
