I'm not too much into the techiness of HDs, but I'm just gonna go out on a limb here, and guess that 200/MBs is pretty damned fast. Am I right?

Well by my rough calculations, assuming that to be constant, you could copy a CD image (700MB) in about 3.5 seconds. A regular DVD image (4.7GB) would take 23.5 seconds, and a standard Blu-ray sized image (25GB) could be copied in a bit over 2 minutes.

Given the speeds my 1TB hard drives can manage, that seems pretty damn quick to me.

Jim Elliott, vice president of memory marketing at Samsung, said the new 256GB drive can store 25 high-definition movies taking up 10GB of space each in just 21 minutes, which he said is a significant advancement over a 7200rpm hard disk drive, which takes about 70 minutes.
If you can believe the vice president of marketing.
