I believe they're kept for 30 days after the last post. If there is an archive, it's not publically accessible as far as I know.

the way-back machine might keep an archive, you'd have to go find out...
not sure if there's an archive of zmd within zmd tho... i know the site proper at least used to have one, but i'm not even sure on that anymore... i'm lazy

They used to be deleted, but I think Swamp said they aren't being deleted anymore because of added space on the server...and btw, the Diaries is the only board to have never had that happen, all the posts should still be there from it's inception.
