XBOX 360 RROD Successful fix

I have the e74. I can get it to work for hours or days at a time by unplugging the fans and overheating it. I may give this a try if it worked for you.
 
That sucks. It's probably a solder joint. Disabling your fans and causing overheat may temporarily reconnect the joint but that's not much of a fix. You could try heat gunning it. There's plenty of youtube tutorials on that.

For my RROD, it was the 3 lights - x-clamp - overheat issue. It's still going strong since the fix. Played through Fable 2 & 3 on it without issue.
