I went in there looking for something by the minibosses (hey they aren't playing original compositions so why pay for it?)

And TR brings up 0 matches. OK, understandable, they might not be popular enough for someone to have a torrent.

I thought it was a bit odd that of BILLIONS of torrents there wasn't one to be found, so I searched for 'porn'. just 'porn'.

"More than 30 matches found, please refine your search."

Um... OK.

"lesbian porn"

No matches. WOW Torrent Reactor sucks.

mininova or torrentspy. Usually can find what you want one of those 2 places. Oh and for random 80's and 90's cartoon stuff, myspleen is the shit.

So is there a way to downoad more than 1 torrent at a time? This damn BitTorrent downloader won't download more than 1 torrent...pissing me off.

Can I resume torrents that BitTorrent has downloaded?

Use a better client, like ABC or Azureus.

You should be able to do that.

I've gotten into the habit of saving the actual .torrent file to my desktop, so I can just click on it and resume the torrent that way as opposed to finding it on the web again. This works for 8/10 torrents.

Edit: My client of choice is http://www.bittornado.com/BitTornado.

Honestly I dont know but you can check the homepages FAQ's or support to find out. I assume if that was a feature they would include it but to me it seems a torrent is a torrent to one of these programs, you probably just have to make sure the torrent file and the partial downloads are in the proper directory and are able to tell the program which tracker to use which is probably an essencial step in what you want to do.

I'm now testing BitLord...I'll know if it's good by this time tomorrow.

FUCK.

YOU.

It's people like you that really give the RIAA a case for their witchhunts.

I'm a PROUD owner of ALL of the Minibosses' releases. And I'd buy them again if I could.

Edit:
Yes, this pisses me off. I may be grateful for the stuff you sent me, but I still think you're an asshole for having that opinion on how to get their songs.
Edited by Kitsune Sniper on 08/24/05 02:44 AM.

Yeah, the official client sucks. I use BitComet.

Although I find it odd that someone who has beef with it is hanging out on an EMULATION MESSAGE BOARD.

Phew, I thought you were gonna go crazy on me for my post. ^^;;

And yeah, I got 'em today. Thanks.

It actually depends on the client. Some programs, like Azureus, also save extra data along with the files (Quick Resume data, I believe), so using a partially saved file with another program may in fact cause you to lose all data you'd already downloaded.

It happened to me once. ;_;

Additionally if you didn't "complete allocation" then things might not be stored completely spaced out in the file and another client won't be able to just read through it as if it was a partially corrupted download.
