Whether you like him or not

What a horrible bitch.
Nobody comes BACK to work for somebody who sexually harasses them in a number of repeted ways. The fact is, O'Reilly filed for extortion before she could ever charge him with sexual harassment...

This is nothing more than a blatent attack on the credibility of O'Reilly and the FOXNews network. It makes me sick.

I totally agree with you on this one though. Bill O'Reilly is a horrible bitch.

...or is this a carefully crafted publicity stunt just to get his name in the mainstream news so his republican views are brought to the forefront?

He's already the #1 show

Yeah, but that's only with looney conservatives. This gives him more widespread attention.

You think so, too? Everybody knows who O'Reilly is. A man of his credibility and clean record would only stand to lose from something like this. The number one news program is hardly one for "loony conservatives". I don't always agree with him, but it's obvious to me that he's honest and straight forward-- he doesn't let people spin the truth. It's nice that you want to label millions of viewers into one neat category (which you accuse me of all the time), but Bill O Reilly is quite the moderate. Just because the far-left calls him a conservative, I assure you, does not make it law. Friends of mine who support Kerry don't even slight him, because he's honest. You don't think he pissed off his Republican base when he called the war a mess, and a "gross mistake"? I really don't believe you've watched him, or Fox News, enough to formulate your own opinion on this one. When I ask other students at school to justify the idea that FoxNews is "right-wing", they have nothing to say. It's another example of people trying to shut down what is as close to balanced as news has ever been. It was nice that the liberal media dominated for so long, but FOXNews has grown in power because it does give a voice to those viewpoints which have been ignored.

How do you answer to the fact that FoxNews has far surpassed the other stations? If you think they have a solely republican fanbase, you're very mistaken. Why do I watch it? Because I like to see intelligent conservatives debate intelligent liberals on a fair playing field. FoxNews most certainly isn't my only news source, but it's my favorite above all. It's nice to see guys like Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes be polarized politically but still get along.

I wonder if anybody here will defend good ol' Dan Rather. Ah, and I always love to hear that only "international" news is reliable from the socialist nations in Europe that hate us. A person should rely on more than one news source, yes. But to not give FoxNews the credit it deserves is ridiculous and unjustified. Now, I probably read more Newsweek than everybody here, and more often than not it's been called a "liberal" source-- but I don't call it's fanbase "loony liberals".

I don't really think it's a stunt, I'm just explaining the rationale that SwampGas was using. It's not really far-fetched.

Oh my god. You scare me sometimes.

I agree.....for the sake of appeasing t3h Danoz, I'll leave out the right wing label on O'Reilly. He's straight up a complete inconsiderate prick of an asshole....yes I've watched him, and I can't fucking stand the man....HE IS AN ASSHOLE.

Of course. You think I haven't seen his show? It's one of the most disturbing and blatant displays of extreme conservative mentality that I've ever seen. He's worse than an extremist, he's a demagogue. Next you're going to tell me that Rush Limbaugh isn't a conservative.

Even Al Franken called the O'Reilly factor a thinly-hidden conservative agenda. I just don't know how you can make such a claim. I would love to see some examples.

Rush Limbaugh is very, very conservative. I mean, he's not a vicious, welfare-hating homophobe like Michael Savage- but while Rush puts forth some good ideas, he's so offensive sometimes that his rhetoric can't persuade, it can only polarize people further (pissing off the opposition and making his fan base equally as pissed off at the opposition). He has this idea that all liberals are scheming and immoral, whereas I believe both liberals and conservative have a genuine desire to make America better. He's a pessimist; Clinton is evil. Kerry is evil. Democrats are evil. That, and Rush is so caught up in party doctrine that he forgets to be an American before he's a Republican. Overall, Rush makes me laugh, but I don't take him all that seriously-- and I'm failing to see how you can make any valuable connections between his show and the factor.

Well, I admit that I haven't seen his show for something like a year, so if he's changed a great deal, I wouldn't know. I find it hard to believe that he would have changed that much in the intervening time, however.

Sure you don't. You use every other negative adjective to describe liberals, but not loony, nope.

he's a stooge but so are so many others...

and there's lots of bitches out there. maybe Monica was a bitch for telling people she sucked Clinton's dick. maybe that Anita Hill was a bitch to poor mr. Thomas.

doesn't this post have more to do with the fact that you're a right-wing-fox-news-o'reilly fanboy?

don't get into flame mode. y'all don't even see through the mist.

They gained face for being the first to report Bush's victory in Florida. Every other major news source "fucked up" the answer by declaring Gore the winner, those stupid bastards! /wwwthreads/images/icons/wink.gif Of course the guy behind the Fox News desk was Bush's cousin so you know how we like to do it with insider info. word.

As for shutting fox news down? I don't give a shit if it's the most popular or not. It's just a news channel, not a means of instructing me how to think. But for the record I think Chris Matthews is one of the more "balanced" reporters I've seen on the news. Although the idea of balance in this repub/democrat system of ours is complete bullshit anyway. If any of these news channels were really balanced maybe they'd be going to bat more for the other political parties out there. But that's just not big enough news unfortunately and it all really *is* about the ratings now isn't it?

So good job fox news with having the ratings. That truly must mean you are the most balanced news source!

Yes...he countered the question properly....but the NAME of the person writing in? Jack Mehoffer? I dont think he countered the name, he just didn't realize what it said.

I'm surprised that his staff, and himself didn't catch that....but its not as bad as if he would've said "Haywood Jablowme"
