What is going on with ZD Bitch

Since the hiring of myself, I've been actually getting my life together. I am currently going to the Job Corps and going to get some vocational training as a Computer Service Technician + get my GED + get my driver's license. I haven't had a ton of oppurtunities in life, which were brought down with the passing of my mom in '97, both of my sisters abandoning to a homeless life for a couple weeks, and some other odds and ends that were mainly my fault. Don't get me wrong, I hold none of my difficulties against anyone but myself, but instead use them as a motivation to beat out the hardships of my life.

I'm doing OK as of now, my sister (who was my guardian when my mom passed on) ended up letting me live with her when I was really going downhill (I was drinking everyday, not giving a damn.) There are downpoints of it, she and her room mate are getting sick of me being there, considering they are so used to being alone. I try to make myself useful, I'm looking for a part-time job until I go to the Job Corps. I've been cleaning the house up and trying to keep a cheerful presence, even when I don't feel wanted.

I've kinda figured out that reading is a good relaxation tool. I've been reading the Shannara series, and it's a pretty damned good series (even better than the Lord of the Rings series IMO) My littlest sister wants me to come visit her in Eugene.

Well, that's pretty much what has been going on. I know it is nothing really exciting or interesting, but it makes me feel better when I can talk about what is going on in my life with others. Thanks to all who read this.

More like raining coals that will turn into diamonds.

Another thing about the Job Corps... I'm planning on not making any buddies at all. I want to focus all of my time on school work and ZD. It kind of sucks I can't really do a whole lot right now cept be supportive, but once I get the jive down of what I will be doing, I'm sure some people will appreciate me as a ZD staffer.

Exactly... Lord of the Rings is too, out there. Too many people being able to do things that are not possible. The Shannara series, especially in the one that started it all, The Sword of Shannara, featured how someone lived barely.

George R.R. Martin

I dissagree completely. I'd have had more fun staring at dirt then reading the Shannara series seeing as the characters were just about as interesting. The WoT series was better, but there were plenty of better books out there and these don't deserve half the hype they get! I'd personally have to go with The Song of Ice and Fire series it pretty much covers all the bases.
