Ugh...It's way too early to be emulating the DS...

1. The console's barely out, making its emulation morally questionable.

2. There's still tons of work to be done on 16 and 32-bit generation consoles.

Understand the achetecture of the DS and how it works is a good thing. It's an excellent homebrew platform and would be great for running an Atari 2600, MSX or an NES emulator on.
It'll be many moons before any emulator can run a commercial game anyway.....

Who cares? That DSEmu guy is never going to get anywhere, and the only real DS emu isn't being released to the public (hyperds), because he doesn't want rampant piracy, he just wants it to be used for homebrew.

the SNES would be a good bet too it has enough buttons (and the bottom screen could be used to select settings and what not)

I wouldn't be worried if I were Nintendo. The GBA got emulated ridiculously early, and emulation really killed that, didn't it?

Holy shit I'm getting old. I've been around for so many of these now ...

It's too early to be emulating N64.
It's too early to be emulating PlayStation.
It's too early to be emulating new arcade games.
It's too early to be emulating Dreamcast.
It's too early to be emulating WonderSwan.
It's too early to be emulating GameBoy Advance.
It's too early to be emulating GameCube.
It's too early to be emulating XBOX.

The programmer is going to work on whatever they want to work on. I really doubt they care whether or not we think it's too early.

I'm all for it, but from a homebrew standpoint...I mean, there's actually demos using the 3-D hardware already!
