TV/amp question

Okay, so whenever I have guitar amps turned on and I have the TV that's in the same room on at the same time, it causes a static-like feedback in the ampliphiers. Not really bad or anything, but certainly noticable. This happens mostly when distortion is on. I was just wondering, what is that causes this feedback? Is it the amp, or could it be the pick-ups picking up something from the TV?

Off the top of my head, I'm gonna say it's a power issue. Try plugging the amp into a different circut and see if it goes away.
