So, who's tried NO$GBA?

It was on the front page. There's now a freeware version of NO$GBA. It's screaming fast, but more importantly, it supports link play. Only on the local machine, but it's still quite a feat. I was very impressed with it. It ran the games I tested it with at full speed on my 500 MHz box with no frameskip. Linkplay made it lag a bit with 2 GBAs emulated, and with 4, it was unplayable. I haven't gotten a chance to test it on my Duron box yet.

Wow, it IS fast. For some reason VBA doesn't run well on this machine (2.2 ghz) when it runs ok, not great, but ok on a 677 mhz Celeron. Haven't been able to figure that out..

This emulator is super fast. it runs with no slow down at all. On the minus, I wish I could change the battery save's directory so it could use the same SAVs I have in the VBA directory with no muss or fuss, and it doesn't seem to want to load ROMs out of a zip file, and the display seems to bright to me, but maybe I'm just nitpicking.

No, washed out is a better description of the display than bright now that I look again...

When I was in high school, I had a 286 that the school's network administrator gave to me for christmas one year.

I thought I'd be clever and try NO$GMB on it...

...I actually got Tetris to run, at about 3fps, with sound coming through the PC squeaker.

I was amused.

I will check out NO$GBA when I get home... what are thoughts on it as compared to VisualBoyAdvance?

Ah, that helps. Never mind. I didn't even notice that option there.

I would except I don't have that game, heh.

It's pretty cool, but not all games will support link play. Kirby and the Amazing Mirror works just fine with a decent framerate for two players, but Four Swords crashes upon loading a save file, and Puyo Pop Fever crashes when you go to the link screen. Perhaps someone should maintain a list of what multiplayer games DO and DON'T work.

On a secondary note, how do you get multiboot to work?

Oh, and Puyo Pop Fever lags horribly on my Dell with two emulated gameboys. It even froze on me twice.
