Does anyone know if there is any software that allows you to mute individual channels in PSF or miniPSF audio files?
I know Audio Overload allows it, but it doesn't allow you to scrub (at least on Windows), which makes transcription very difficult. We essentially need to record each individual channel as a .wav and put them in a daw, which is time consuming and tedious.
Foobar2000's PSF decoder doesn't allow individual channel muting, and it appears that this was intentional because composers often switched channels in the middle of their melodies. (Though, this is actually important for VGM researchers, despite the annoyance that it creates for us who are transcribing).
In any case, if anyone knows of a way to do this efficiently, you'd have my eternal gratitude.
Thanks in advance,
Rich
