Ocarina of Time: Missing Track

Hey all! I don't know if I'm in the right section, or if this has come up before, but in the Ocarina of Time USF rip in the VG music archive, there is one track that I noticed was missing. It's the battle theme in the overworld (i.e. Hyrule Field mostly). This is different from the general battle theme in, say, a dungeon (which is included in the rip).

So I was wondering if someone could rip me just that one single track please? Thanks!

(Also, if this thread needs to be moved or if this has already been discussed, please let me know.)

I think the best to do would be to download the mp3, as I believe that the track/s that are not inside the PSF/USF archive could not be ripped.

The Hyrule Field song is all those LOZnn.miniusf files in the archive. They are played back-to-back in some order when you're on Hyrule Field depending on what is going on, but I was only able to rip them as individual tracks.

There are tracks actually missing (a version of Karariko Village and part of the end credits song)... and tracks with intros are missing them. LoZ:OoT was one of the first USFs I ever ripped, it is a bit less complete than I'd like.

Thanks, but for whatever reason, Winamp refuses to play any of those files, I guess because it doesn't recognize the .miniusf extension. Is there a plug-in I have to download somewhere to be able to play those? (And if so, where?)

Oh, and I found an OoT rip sometime last year that did include both versions of Kakariko, the full end credits, and the intros to Kokiri, Gerudo, etc. Now if I could just remember where/how I found it....

You must extract all the files in the .zip to one directory (the miniusf files and the usflib file) and play them from there. Winamp needs to be able to find the .usflib when it opens the ,miniusf and it can't do that if they are not in the same directory.

Thanks, man! That's just what I needed to do. Wow, that just shows what a multivalent and intricate song that Hyrule Field theme really was. That single theme has been unsurpassed by anything we've seen in Zelda on GC or Wii since 1998. Impressive!

Say, you wouldn't happened to have done the USF rip for Majora's Mask too, would you? (This might be a good time to start another topic. LOL)

Oh, I already have the USF rip of Majora's Mask (from this website). I just happened to notice a few missing tracks there too. =0)

Don't know about that last part...for example, Twilight Princess' field theme is pretty complex, having lots of different parts very much like Ocraina has.

ah, but you will note that it is suspiciously similar to the Hyrule Field theme in OoT!

Of course. :) That game has several tracks like that as you must know (like the awesome Death Mountain theme in Twilight Princess...of course, that one reminds me a little of Death Mountain from Link to the Past as well).

And so far as I can tell they used the erm...'inside a house' music from Ocarina outright in that one town.
