Now For MY Post-Election Speech

I would say I agree with some points and disagree with others. We are indeed living in dark times. But I don't feel America has anything to do with that really. I mean...we have not only Iraq, but Kosovo, North Korea, the Ivory Coast, Afghanistan, and the list goes on. Humans are as a whole, pathetic, selfish, greedy, godless lumps of flesh. In order for things to become better, completely drastic changes to humanity as a whole will have to happen. And it ain't happening. So just ride this thing called life out and hold on as best you can...you can't depend on the rest of the world helping you.

Man I'm cynical.

It's less like the UK in terms of culture, i'ts less like the UK in terms of weather, and... well, I've pretty much run out there. I suppose we have a much healthier human/sheep ratio over here.

Out of interest, where have you been? Sydney, Gold Coast, Barrier Reef? That's pretty much where most tourists go.

I've always wanted to visit Austrailia. I would chill out and have a coopers with all the crazy wecomic dudes I've talked to the last few years. It is an cool country. But overall, in all the places I've been, I think Ohio takes the cake. What can I say

No, I wouldn't let you near that stuff. There are too many quality beers in this country to make our guests drink swill.

Haha, I was talking to Austrialian once who swore it was the nector of the gods. Anyway, I've been mostly drinking Samuel Adams the past months (and of course, Guinness). What kind of Austrialian beers would you reccomend?

I've been to Sydney and up the coast to Brisbane. And I snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef. I wish I could have stayed longer.

He must have been from South Australia, the Reject State. That's where Coopers is from, and the only place anyone drinks it - I think the reason they do is mainly because it's cheap. And so are South Australians. I love being able to say this stuff without fear of recrimination.

Anyway every major city has a beer or two. In Sydney, it's Fosters or Tooheys - nobody in the country drinks fosters, and tooheys only has one good beer: Tooheys Old. Very nice dark beer, smooth and a little sweet.

Melbourne has a lot of average beers, but I think the Hahn brewery is there, and Hahn Premium is great. Oh, and Crown Lager is nice too.

Launceston has Boag's, Hobart has Cascade, Perth (where I live, on the west coast) doesn't have any great mainstream beers, but if you can get your hands on a Little Creatures (either Pale Ale or Rodgers) you're in for a treat.

Generally though I just drink Kilkenny or Guinness myself

Can I come? I'd just have to get used to that whole "cold in July" thing, and the toilets flowing the opposite direction....weird!

Actually since only male landowners that were white were the only ones allowed to vote for almost the first century of this country and it was built on the backs of poor irish, black, chinese, and other immigrants shows me there is virtually no change since only the opinions of the rich lobbyist are the only ones that count no matter who is supposedly represented.

Besides that great post.

Melbourne is where I stayed. I was there for two months in 1991, I think it was. We visited Sydney and Tasmania and we did the Great Ocean Drive. I even went to school there for a while, but I dropped out after a week or two.

Oh, that's rich.

I get banned for complaining about a signature, and you get off scot-free for crap like this. That, my friends, is hypocrisy.
