So I bought a DS today with Dawn of Sorrow. It's pretty badass. I'm probably going to get Mario Kart DS as well. Any other recommendations for games? Can't wait for FF3DS and those Xenosaga remakes either ;P

You've already got Dawn of Sorrow, and going to get Mario Kart DS, the rest that you should get are dependant on your taste in games.

Personally, the next DS game i plan to get is Bleach DS, should be a lot of fun, especially playing online. The last DS game i got was Zoids Saga DS, which isn't too bad for what I paid for it ($17US from play-asia, they're having a sale right now, so it might pay to check them out).

Just dont buy Another Code or Sonic Rush.

I bought Another Code. Not bad, but not very good either. Terribly written. So far as recommendations go, I'm holding out for Animal Crossing, due out here at the end of March.

And Narvick, if you get Mariokart online, let me know - I'm always up for a multiplayer (same goes for anyone else willing).

If you play mariokart online against people, be prepared to lose. Horribly. There is this thing called "snaking" and it basically means unless you do it to you will lose. bad. God I hate mario kart online.

You can always go to http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4422514278785769760&q=%22Mario+Kart+DS+Snaking+School%22+playable%3Atrue Snaking School</a>.

There's places in a couple of courses where you can jump the walls with a boost. This is an effective way of dealing with snakers.

Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time (the sequel to the GBA Mario and Luigi RPG)
Viewtiful Joe
Trauma Center
Metroid Pinball (as far as pinball goes I think it's pretty good...the Artifact Temple level is great and the Metroid 'window dressing' is pretty well done)
WarioWare

These're just a few of the games I've had fun with.

Turns out my friend has a 2 wire and so has a wi fi hotspot at his place. I'll see what I can do about that

Snaking was in F-Zero GX too. Is this some sort of Nintendo trend nowadays? I never could do it by the way.

Could somebody try to explain what this is (so I don't have to spend a long time downloading a video on my cruddy internet connection)?

Power sliding from side to side on a straight road. Your kart zigzags, so people call it snaking.

Was going to say damn that guy is losing tons of time in the corners, but 1.25 isn't so bad Figure-8 and he was doing good on Mushroom Bridge.

Would like to play some decent players like that, but alas I can't. =8<

No one's mentioned Kirby? For shame.

Kirby Canvas Course > you.
Uber game utilizing the touchpad outside mini-games, much love.

Much agreed. Yesterday, I unlocked the very last item in medal swap. There's very little left for to do now, but I've gotten nearly 20 hours of gameplay out of it! 20 hours of of gameplay from a handheld platformer, and I plan to rack up even more! It took me 22 hours to complete Chrono Trigger the first time around!
