Need help translating...

Can anyone make ANY sense of this?

POIUYT JHGF DTRTYUIXVN KIY LJGH CVN

I got this message along with an offer on one of my domain names, and while I hate to sound profiling, I think it may be some kind of Arabic since the guy's name is Ahmed. Can anyone help?

Perhaps Ahmed (as in Elazul) can help.

Ah... see he typo'd a bunch

POIYUT GHJF DRTTYUIXYN YIK GHLJ VNC

now that translates to: "BRING ME THE JADE MONKEY"

Figured as much (that it's gibberish)

Let's see if the dude can understand English then...I hope he does because he offered $1k. The name is c00l.net. Would never have thought I'd get an offer that high on a 1337 name.

Re: Figured as much (that it's gibberish)

If it came by email, see if you can find some setting that allows messages to keep their original encoding, rather than it auto converting to "readable" text. This way you might be able to get the alphasymbols and throw those in a translator online, after which I'm sure you'll get something like "The puppy flies at midnight when the cows cry".

Unfortunately, the email was from the website that the guy submitted his offer/comment to, not directly from the guy. Otherwise, I'd give that a try.

Seriously, don't be gullible.

Don't be gullible. It's gibberish. Everyone knows it's just gibberish. It's not even mis-encoded text, it's just plain old gibberish bullshit. I mean, look, "POIUYT", it's the letters on the top row of the keyboard starting at P and going left. A poiuyt is a classic "can't exist" joke found on drawing tables of engineers:

Again, it's not mis-encoded, it doesn't need to be translated. It's gibberish. Nothing more.

I wasn't being gullible - I didn't even look at the keyboard or try to type out the phrase anywhere - if I had, I'm sure I would have noticed that - I was simply offering a suggestion based on previous experience with clients receiving email that originally had been written with a different alphanumeric set than english.

Re: Figured as much (that it's gibberish)

so how are you supposed to reply to the guy to see if he'll make good on his offer?

I assume you have sent him just a basic reply acknowledging your receipt of his request... perhaps his reply to you will be more intelligible.

I think you're just running circles around a spambot. :p

Doesn't matter...the email bounced. Lucky me! Oh well then. Dude obviously didn't want it that much.
