I can tell the difference. My problem with 1.0PR was plugins.
Macromedia Shockwave: Refused to automatically install. Manual installation fixed it.
Macromedia Flash: Refused to automatically install. Refused to manually install. A few days later, I tried again, and manual installation worked. No idea why.
Apple Quicktime: Refused to be seen by Firefox 1.0PR as a plugin. Period. Manual install made no difference, and the problem didn't fix itself.
Now, with the final 1.0, the first worked on automatic installation, and the third failed on automatic, but worked on manual. Allowing me to watch

Once I've tried installing Macromedia Shockwave, I'll know if everything is working OK. After this, my list is down to:
Noia eXtreme (theme)
Firesomething (extension)
Allow Right-Click (extension, I don't like webpages telling me where I can and can't right-click)
Tabbrowser Extensions (an extension I've been missing since I upgraded to 1.0PR...)
Edit: Yep, Shockwave works now. That's all of my plugins done. All that's left is on the list above. Once I have everything, I don't plan to move from this version for a while (barring minor updates, like maybe a 1.01 release).
