Nothing like collecting American toys based on a Japanese show, that's coming to America in February.

I'm collecting American "Power Rangers Mystic Force" toys because I can't afford to import the Japanese "Mahou Sentai Magi Ranger" toys. At Target, the "Titan Megazord" was $34. If I wanted to import the Japanese "MagiKing", it would be $100 plus shipping.

As it is, I'm painting the toys now to help make it match the source material a little better...

heh, he was badass back in the day. Man I used to be so into that show. I think anyone in their early 20s was. It was THE kids show back in the early-mid 90s

Regardless of price, and whatever the hell else.. They are Power Ranger toys. How old are you?

Power Rangers, any one of the 300 incarnations of them - are for 3 year olds. I cant believe that line of toys has lasted this long. I think they came out when I was like 14 or something, and even then they were retarded. Collect GOOD toys, man - like Transformers or even GIJoe or something.

Don't collect power rangers.<img src=smilies/laff.gif>

24. My WIFE and I went out to buy these toys. The GI-Joe like toys (since you mentioned them) are presents I bought for her, while the Transformer-like "zords" were something she bought for both of us.

Wait, what?

I admit, I've watched some episodes of the newer seasons, and while they've been silly fun, I haven't exactly been a big "fan" of them. I don't have highest hope for the new "Mystic Force" season, but the Japanese show, "Mahou Sentai Magi Ranger" has been fantastic.

Case in point. The newest episode, #39 - the Red and Pink rangers have swapped bodies. The Pink ranger has lined up 15 dates with various boyfriends, and had already graduated high school. The Red ranger is still in high school, has soccer practice, and is trying to make up with this girl he likes.

The two wake up, confront each other, and realize they've swapped bodies. The Pink ranger, in the Red ranger's body, puts 'his' hands on his chest and goes "Nothing. Nothing." Then grabs 'his' groin and goes "Something! Eww!"

Then the Red ranger, in the Pink ranger's body, puts 'her' hands on her chest and goes "Something. Sorta something." Then grabs 'her' groin and goes "Nothing!"

Then the Pink ranger (in the Red ranger's body) shoves 'his' finger in the other's face and asks, "What do you mean, SORT OF something?" To which the Red ranger (in the Pink ranger's body) retorts, "Hey, if they're small, they're small!"

...It's great. :D

Too bad there's no way Disney will let that little sequence fly on the US version - if it ever comes here. I've heard that the ratings for the show have dropped a lot...

Also, the Green Ranger is the one and only Power Ranger. All the others suck. He's still badass to this day.

You go back to your video game collecting then. I mean, video games are retarded, man. Who wants to go around killing monsters or pretending to roll up a ball with things stuck to it?

The guy has a hobby. One I'm not fond of, but hey, http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&sub=All&id=kitsuneI collect DVDs</A>, so who am I to tell him what's right and what isn't? It's his money, and from what I have seen of the toys, they are quite cool looking (we sell them at work - speaking of, we sell quite a lot down here!).

... Carry on.

February. It's already filming, and they've been showing promos on ABC Family and Toon Disney quite a bit, since the finale of SPD. The ratings dropped because it went to cable, IMO.

Favorite episode of Dino Thunder had Tommy in bed, near-death, and he had to fight 'himself' to come back to life. Fought Zeo 5, White Ranger, and Green Ranger.

My favorite comment was from the White Ranger, where he confronts the now-adult Tommy, and the first thing he says is "So, you finally cut that hair, huh Tommy?"

...Yeah, Tommy rocks.

Oh, come on. You're on an emulation forum, we're all a bunch of nerdy collectors in one way or another. Personally, I like Power Rangers, it's just cliche and cheesy enough that I always get good laughs. Nothing better than a pure battle of overly benevolent and humble Good verses the kind of evil that exists for the pure sake of being evil and destroying things.

Me? I could NEVER criticize somebody for collecting power rangers stuff, because I own plush dolls and figurines from the 80s Dominos mascot the Noid (avatar). I also collect Star Trek model spaceships and several seasons on DVD.

Leave us alone biach <img src=smilies/thumb.gif>

No, the ratings dropped because they left Fox. Because Saban took all its shows to Disney Channel (which, at least according to many people I know, -nobody watches-). I remember when Saban was not owned by Disney... back then at least their shows were easily viewable on Fox.

Now fox has to use Funimation's crap redubs to fill up its schedules.

Anyway, do you really think that they will let that little sequence (touching each other's uh, parts) in? I doubt it, especially because it's Disney. Fuck the mouse.

Uh, it's not on the Disney Channel. It's on ABC Family and Toon Disney. See, like I said, ratings dropped when they went to cable. Fox, last I recall, is a broadcast station - and not strictly cable.

No, and when did I say I thought they would? Hell, in DekaRanger (what SPD was based on), the Pink ranger regularly got drunk, and nearly every episode had a sequence with her in a bubble bath.

Ah, sorry, down here Toon Disney is The Disney Channel.

Having trouble finding bathtub shots - one of the sites I used to visit is down right now. But, I found some cute shots.

These are various girls from Super Sentai (Power Rangers):

http://www.rangercentral.com/gallery/displayimage-5-51.html
http://www.rangercentral.com/gallery/displayimage-5-65.html

Now here are shots from Dekaranger episodes specifically (SPD):

http://www.rangercentral.com/gallery/displayimage-8-42.html
http://www.rangercentral.com/gallery/displayimage-8-60.html

Did I mention that the Super Sentai actresses usually go on to become "idols"? Meaning, basically, models - usually a lot of bikini pictures, singing... some go into porn...

Oh! Here's one shot of her in the bath. She commonly talked to her rubber ducks, did I mention that?

Now, all that's good and well. But to be honest, I didn't watch much DekaRanger. I HAVE been watching MagiRanger, which the upcoming "Mystic Force' will be based on. Let's see why.

I mean, let's be honest, there's more to the show than "Nai to Mae" (Nightmare), but... God, the girls are all hot this year.

... Wait, not the original Tommy, right? Jason David Frank?
I got rid of my TV about eight years ago, so I have no way of knowing.
