Not getting mistaken again in Washington Square Park for a homeless man, like I was today, by a guy who walked up from behind (and thus didn't see that the only reason I was standing still by a garbage can was to throw out the peel of the orange I was peeling) and offered me his snack: Priceless.

There are some things money can't buy. For everything else, there's MasterCard.


...and yes, I declined the snack.
 
I remember getting a handout in the US in 2004. I was sitting down on the pavement against the wall of a drug store. Had just walked really far and was tired. Hair at the time was really long and a total mess, and I kinda fell asleep with an empty coffee cup in front of me. It was winter, and I was wearing this ratty old green parka.

Someone threw a dollar in the cup.
