...Honestly? I'd just gotten LAMEBOY for my DS cart, and I was looking for a copy of Metal Gear Solid for the GBC. I -own- the darn thing, so I wasn't worried about legalities. I just wanted it. ...All the sites I could remember using were either gone, or had warnings up. "This game is protected. We do not provide downloads", etc.
Then I found "roms.zophar.net" and thought, "What the hell - it's probably that old link page. Maybe some magic's still there." And then I found a full subdomain with roms from hell and back, and a new message board.
I popped back here and found that Sam doesn't own the site anymore, but won't name who does. And the old complaints about the forum software, and the site being 'dead'. lol. I decided to finally just say "hey" - and make fun of the lot of you. <img src=smilies/thumb.gif>
I wonder if there's any magic left around this place...

Well if the old crew keeps showing up like this and we actually get people posting it'll be just like old times. Hell when I came back there were like only 6 posts or so for the past 2 weeks total in all forums. We are almost getting more than that a day now and EP's got a new board to that TPC is running and a bunch of people from the old crew hang there to.

I used to think that but it's more like the dumb, sickly, and just plain unlucky for the most part. This would explain also why you don't see a lot of really old guys in jail since their IQ or luck eventually take over. <img src=smilies/laff.gif>

Heh, I suppose it does deserve being made fun of, in a way. <img src=smilies/magbiggrin.gif> Some good people still come here even though the boards aren't very active. Like Shawn was saying, you ought to go to Elazul's Pad...you'll find some of the 'old crew' that hang here, and some that don't any more like Mushroom Blue.
