Cool. I like my local gamestop. The employees there are friendly, helpful, and are actually gamers so they know what they are talking about most of the time. One of them even OWNS a Neo Geo, lol, it's really refreshing. =)

Sorry Amber, but the Gamestops around here are plagued by non-gamer staffs, and EB was my last bastion of hope. :(

Well... I shouldn't complain. I buy more game at retail chains now anyway.

I was able to walk into Bestbuy three weeks after Ys VI came out and still buy it, while EB and Gamestop--which both specialize exclusively in videogames--were out. Go figure!

Well, yeah basically. I mean, if you even KNOW what the Black Beast IS, you know a LITTLE more about games than the average gamer. Owning one makes you even more of an Elite. I've had 5, and 2 arcade versions. <img src=smilies/thumb.gif>

Having been a former GameStop employee I'm shocked and disgusted...I hate GameStops now--hell Funcoland was better (and I worked there too). EBgames/EBx was much better overall. THEY STILL CARRY SNES FOR CHRISTS SAKE! I will no longer shop at an EBgames if they change ANY policies or whatnot (which they will). To me this is a very sad day in gaming history. They'll get rid of the 16-bit systems and DreamCast stuff that EBgames carried just like the GameStops did and it'll just be another high priced GameStop chain...boooooooooring.

Hmm...every GameStop in my area has NES, Genesis, SNES, Dreamcast, and N64 hardware for sale (and I find it hilarious that you can buy 4 N64's for the price of 1 NES <img src=smilies/magbiggrin.gif>). The games for them are definately dropping in number, though.

That'll suck...I was just in EB talking to one of the guys working there about e3 and new stuff about the Nintendo Revolution. <img src=smilies/magbiggrin.gif>
