This is a log for all the feature requests that have been posted or PM'd that I am going to implement in the future.

- file download counter
- Emulator files sorted into categories (Latest Version, Previous Versions, Misc Files)
- Liquid HTML layout
- Integrate IRC chatroom with the site
- News are separated into categories by system
- Homebrew section separate from Public Domain ROMs.
- RSS feeds

If there are any I've missed, please post here.

There are certain cases where previous versions are important. Occasionally new versions of emulators break compatibility with games, so to play a specific game, you need a previous version. ePSXe and zsnes, possibly the two most popular emulators in the world, both have definitely had this problem.

Also, space is not an isssue. Got about 50GBs of free space right now. If I'm paying $200/mo for the server might as well fill it up.
 
Nope, at the moment this is the only one available.
More could be added, but I think they would need a bit of hacking to make them work as intended, and, in my opinion, there are other things more important for edman to use his free time on, like erradicating the bugs that are still present in the system.
 
Definitely an RSS feed should be implemented before any of the other things. ZP already has everything else it needs to be the #1 emulation website again, with so many news postings.

Also, thanks for keeping the archives of all the old emulators. Most of that stuff you can't find anywhere else.
 
To everyone asking about RSS feeds, simply subscribe to the Emulation News Forum Feed and your problem is solved. :)
 
The emu Db really needs to become a wiki.

I've been visiting ZD since I was 16 (back in 1996!), so it's kind of ingrained in my mind that this is the site to visit for finding emulators. I just upgraded my iMac to Lion, and so of course I came here to see if there were any updated emus for Lion, knowing that many of the ones I've relied on over the years wouldn't work. But while I did find that SNES9x was updated to 1.53 (which works great under Lion! yay!), I came up empty on a GameBoy emulator. Knowing that ZD isn't always the quickest with updating the emu Db, I went to Google and found http://sourceforge.net/projects/macboyadvance/ referenced in a forum thread, which is basically an Intel port of Visual Boy Advance (that works under Lion! w00t!).

Which go me thinking: if the emu Db was a wiki, then when new emus are found or old ones are updated, then lowly site visitors like myself could help keep it up to date without having to bother the site admins.
 
New Platforms

I'd love to see new categories added to the Emulators For section of the site. Specifically to add categories for Android, iOS and maybe even Windows Phone.
 
I would love to see porn. You know, the really freaky stuff. A porn emulator.

Speaking of porn. I had to laugh when I was in akihabara when I was in Tokyo, you would go into an anime shop, and they would have the hentai curtained off. Kind of funny. The women dressed up as maids and anime characters on the street were kind of hot, even if I did not understand what they were saying...
