DDR Pads

My mom's birthday is next weekend and she's mentioned that she wants to play DDR, since she likes Guitar Hero but wants more exercise <img src=smilies/cwm11.gif>

Anyway, I'm looking at bundle packs, since those seem to be better deals, but I don't want to get stuck buying a horrible pad. Is there a good "beginners" pad I should be looking for?

Just stay away from the cheap pads that are like a shower curtain. They get messed up real quick. At the very least, get one with the thick foam center, which shouldn't run you too much more than the cheapo ones.

Get any soft pad with a stiff foam insert -- a lot of them go by "Ignition" on the net, whether they're RedOctane or not.

Every soft pad on the net is a rebranded edition of one of the five or six pads coming out of China, so just go for the cheapest.
