corrupt DVD+R?

I just tried retrieving something from an old backup DVD+R, and I find that the files are corrupt. I take a look at it with a hex editor, and it seems each file actually begins atoffset 0xc000. Any idea what might be up, and how I could fix it? I'm mounting the DVD under Linux, it was originally burned with Nero in Windows XP.

Well, since I already typed that up, I might as well type the solution: the disc was UDF, linux was mounting it as iso. Shouldn't they agree when both are on the same disc?
