every other website I visit will load, then all of a sudden change to a stupid "PC TUNEUP" thing
I have done:
1) scanned for adware and spyware.
2) turned on strict controls for ads
3)Thrown the computer at the wall(well, not really!)

that has to be something like spyware/adware... recently my friend ended up with a bunch of adware bullshit on his new laptop computer and he asked me to fix it... sure enough the first action i took was to download and install ad-aware software which i did and then scanned his computer and that fixed the problem right away without rebooting... soo since you're problem sounds like you have adware or spyware then i suggest if you haven't done so already downloading and isntalling the updated version of ad-aware then do a scan and delete all the shit from you're computer.. That should help you out..

Sounds like a redirector spyware/adware. Check your running processes for unusual entries loaded. And of course, use a non-IE browser.

I use firefox with adblock plugin
scanned with ad-aware and spybot search and destroy no spyware
I use Zone alarm pro for firewall
and ANTIVIR for antivirus

here's a suggestion:
1. Back up your data
2. Format your HD
3. reinstall your OS

working on a "clean slate" is sometimes the best thing for your PC :)
