an update...

so..an update to me and my ex...

i'm out with a friend and she calls..and calls...and calls. must have called 20 times...i just let the phone ring. 4 voice messages from her.

all of them "call me" and "we need to talk" and "i want to get back together".

so since i'm a nice guy, i called her when i got home at 3am. we chatted for about an hour. she tells me how much she still loves me and wants to be with me...and i said "you're never going to change". i even tell her that she's going to do the same shit today,. when we were done talking, she said "bye", i said "bye" and then she said a quick "i love you" before she hung up.

i get an SMS at 9am (i sleep during the day so i never went to bed)...she wants me to call her. so i call her. she skipped work yesterday and needs a doctor's excuse...so i said "you gotta start living an honest life"...and then she started talking about how she can work for some tuxedo place for $9/hr...she can sit there, talk on the phone, and make easy money. she's such a kid. i said that she needs to find a career and stop thinking about these stupid kiddie job craps. she then said, in that stupid voice the girls use, "why don't you shut up and get off my case"? so said "i'll do exactly what you ask..." and hung up.

she calls me right back, tells me how i "shouldn't go off on her like that"...then i say that i KNEW she'd do this to me again...i reminded her that 6 hours earlier, i predicted it. she didn't like that...said some nasty things...and hung up.

i'm too much of a nice guy to just ignore her calls and totally ditch her...i've been with her for 2 years and i really care about her...it's a damn shame such a pretty girl, who used to be nice, has to be such a bitch all the time. she has problems.

If she isn't cheating on you, taking your money, or using hard drugs, you should probably give her another chance. It is so hard to find a girl under 25 you can trust.

1. Time means nothing. It's cool that you've been with her for 2 years, but really all that matters for is what date you celebrate your anniversary on, and what # it is. Nothing else.

2. People change. Old phrase, but damn true. Sometimes in a relationship the two will change together, sometimes the change will cause them to drift apart. Connecting it with #1, this is why time doesn't matter for shit.

3. She has problems, sucks for her. Seems like you have at least one problem though too, and that's her. Eliminate the problem, simple as that.

4. Nice guys suck ass ;)

Neither have I :p

And how would YOU know that? Oh, wait, nevermind. I figured out how....

But seriously, I consider myself a "nice guy" too. My gf and I have been together for a year (yesterday was our anniv.), and everything there is cool. It's just that there comes a time when even 'nice guys' need to be like "fuck off". And from the description of events Sam listed, this is one of those times.

Wish I had something extremely insightful to say, but you need to decide for yourself if you're willing to overlook her bad points to enjoy her good points. That's basically what it comes down to.

Hi Sam

How are you. I think you are being rather harsh on her. How old is this girl? By the tone of this email i have a feeling that you have a very short temper with her. I can just imagine the tone you said "get a career" with her. There is a tonne of disrespect in the letter. She wont be the perfect girl, but give her a break. What i see here is you trying to pick a fight with her. Frankly, if she wants to do a minimum wage job that is her choice. Belittling her is going to wreck her self image and cause trouble.

Swamp: You are a nice guy, I would have told her out right; that she was a weird bitch, and that if she quit bothering me... I might keep her on my buddy list. She sounds high-maitanance, and who needs that? Sometimes you gotta hurt the feelings of a weird bitch to protect your own :D

Is this Sam's girlfriend? Because, NO one else could seriously make an arguement like that. Girl sounds like waaaay more trouble than she's worth (no offense Sam).

I'm not so sure I should be reading any of this.. :p

You're a DJ right? So I'm guessing you spin at clubs. Well, if you're a regular anywhere, start making friends with the attractive female co-workers.

Get her off your mind.

The more you think about something else, the easier it will be to not think about her over time. It worked for me, and it'll work for you.
