AIM being discontinued in December

So, word on the street is that AOL is getting rid of its instant messenger service, which means that we probably should remove the AIM field for the profiles.

but anyway yeah, lots of memories using that service. Thoughts?

Also, it's one less reason for me to reinstall pidgin on this machine.

AIM was outdated even back in 2004. But a nostalgic part of me still hates that the parts of the internet I used to use as a kid are dead.

My only satisfaction comes from knowing that since this is relentless, in 10-15 years, Facebook is also gonna be dead.

To be fair, I still had it running as I still communicated with a small handful of people through that service. Oh well.
