I took four years of the Japanese language and am familiar with the basics.

We are looking for native Japanese speakers or people who have lived in Japan and know the language as good as english.

I hear you say you took some japanese classes and that would probally be good enough for you to translate some scripts. If you want to work with different games I have some scripts that need translating and I don't care if they are not 100% accurate as I know you sometimes lose something in the translation if the script is not literal.

If you want you can send me the scripts at damarsman@aol.com. I can't guarantee that I will be able to complete them though. I just found a translator for my group yesterday. I'm really excited about it and i'm hoping I can get at least one of my projects out soon. If he gets done with our stuff maybe i'll ask him if he will help you out. Send me your screen name to my email if you want. Thankyou.

While I am not willing to make too large a time commitment up front, I would be interested in working on a bit of one of the scripts from one of the (preferably) more recent dragon quest games. I am close to Japanese-English bilingual, and have both studied and worked in Japan. But rather than assert credentials, you are welcome to send the scripts to me and see if you like the results.

Contact me at ryan.levine@yale.edu or rblevine@gmail.com if you are interested.

That's wierd because I spoke to him a while back and he said that he wanted to help out with me. I told him I'd send him Dragon Quest Monsters 1 & 2 for psx stuff when it was ready. I'm not really worried now since I have 2 translators. One is also fluent in German. What's up with the lack of translators these days?
