What's the best linker and cart type for supporting commerical games? I've been thinking about using XG-Flash but I don't know what kind of carts yet. Also, how exactly does a flash card work? When you first turn it on does it give you a list of the games copied on it to choose from? Any screenshots anywhere that I could see?

If you use an XG-Flash linker, you must use XG-Flash carts as well. I have an EZ-Flash II set (cart + linker) and it's awesome. I used to have a very old FAL Pro that I bought from someone on these boards here.

The EZ-Flash website is here: http://www.ezflash.cn/
I recommend an EZ-Flash III if you can find one. I've heard they're quite slick.

I would recommend a 256MB EFA Linker card for $80 at kicktrading.ca. Very nice software and cheap too.

Well, this depends. You CAN flash just one ROM, and have that starting up automatically, but the way it is generally done is via a menu program...these can vary from simplistic text menus, to my fav, PogoShell, a graphical interface with icons and an actual file system to help you organize everything. The font on this theme (yes, it has actual themes, there are several good sites for downloading them) is a bit cluttered, but I like that pic. Also, PogoShell manages your Save RAM very well, making it so you can flash it and flash it again yet keep the SRAM on there and it will automatically load and save the right SRAM for the ROM you load. It does not support ALL types of flash carts, so check compatibility for this one.

I really oughtta get a t-shirt that says "PogoShell" on it 'cause I seem to plug it a lot. :P

I was able to Buy EZ Flash IV (http://zercath.ecrater.com) from a US seller zercath on Ecrater.com,

As of 2014 Ebay does no longer allow the sale of EZ Flash IV carts or any Flashcarts, You could check that

seller out and see if he still has any for sale,I received mine from this seller in a few days for a great

price, good luck http://zercath.ecrater.com
