I can change the joystick input for games, but is there a way to save the changes? Or do I have to change the input everytime I open the game?

Um, if you have a cfg directory, it should save the settings. If it doesn't, check to make sure that your cfg directory is not read-only.

He meant a folder named cfg under the mame32 folder. This screenshot should clear things up:

Edit: Right-Click on the cfg folder and select Properties. Make sure "read only" is not checked. If it is, uncheck it.
