Please take that POS off your webpage.

Posting a link to an FAQ filled with overly superficial information and glaring errors and ommissions hurts newbies more than it helps them.

I laughed my ass off when the guy recommended NESticle (yes, NESticle...hahaha) as one of the two best emulators to use. (To be fair, JNES isn't bad, but is easily trumped by NEStopia and FCE Ultra.)

He then recommended Satourne and A-Saturn for Saturn emulation, in spite of the fact that nothing fucking touches Cassini for Saturn emulation.

No mention of Kega Fusion, which is already at least as good as Gens and still actually being developed, for Genesis emulators. (At least the dumbfuck didn't recommend that we download Kega 98 and Dgen...lmao)

In summary, newbies will learn infinitely more about emulation by reading the Scribe's guides to the theory and legality of emulation along with your emulator descriptions.

That's harsh. No really. I'm seeing stars right now.

Tell Matt that, not me. There aren't many sites aimed towards emulation newbies. While I don't personally agree with the emulator choices, that's just one really small part of the site. And Cassini for the Saturn? We don't even know if that's legal yet. Gens is much easier to use than Kega Fusion. NESticle is a breeze and is very fast compared to newer, more compatible emulators. I don't consider his opinions as bad as you do.

I sure fucking hope so. That web site is such a waste of webspace. I konw they feel like they're crusaders in teh fight against teh lamers, or some similar thing, but...well, that's mind numbingly obvious irony for you. <img src=smilies/magbiggrin.gif>

It got worse over time. It wasn't that bad when I first saw it (right after I started working here). But then they just kept going out of their way to point out stupid little mistakes that everyone does and no one cares about and completely blew them out of proportion. That was annoying.
