View Full Version : I hate the RX

Well, tonight the situation was complete bullshit.

One of the registers had a situation of a check for $277.77 being taken as cash instead of a check. So obviously, this is going to show up differently on the computer. When entered cash reaches a certain point, it is management's responsibility to come to the drawer and take a reasonable amount out of it and put it into the safe. Well, this was the end of the night, so the cash pickup was obviously big-seeming because $277 that isn't even there was taken.

Now, here's where the real annoyance kicks in... The ending cash figures were only $60 or so and the drawer must have $75, which is the starting amount. We had to call up the store manager about this and finally just ended up tricking the computer and screwing over the paperwork just to get the hell out of there. It was requesting a district manager's approval... Yeah, like the district manager is going to come out there at 10:15 at night just to input a simple 4-5 digit password.

The RX = worthless, overpaid fuck-ups. There's a method to override the picky check detector on the register. It just requires management to come and do it. They didn't even leave any kind of note about a check for that much being taken as cash.

And that's my story.

That's exactly why I worked only one year in retail. Over managment and working with people. You can have 'em both. You're a better man than I am Sivak.<img src=smilies/thumb.gif>
