			GPU Demo Hard v0.92	(December, 17th 2001.)

			by Matesic Darko

1) About
---------
This is a PSEMU Pro and FPSE (SDK 2.0) Graphic Plugin which
uses DirecX 8.0. Although this is not the best plugin (and I doubt
that it will ever be) there is one thing that makes it special:
you can record your game into avi file.

2) Requirements
----------------
To use this plugin you must have DirectX 8.0 installed. If you
don't have it, it will not be shown in configuration menu.

3) Usage
---------
Copy dll into plugins directory and configure it from the
emulator.

4) Configuration
-----------------

	1) Display settings: choose fullscreen resolution and color
depth or window resolution (with desktop color depth)

	2) Texture Caching: choose a texture caching mode (this
can be easily changed from gpu menu while the emulator
		is running). You can choose:
		- Large: is the best and mostly fastest of texture
caching modes but it is only supported by newer
video cards that support textures up to 2048x2048.
		- Standard: this is similar mode like large texture
caching but which uses texture sizes 256x256.
This mode somtimes can be faster than Large
			(eg. Hercules)
		- Heavy: this is the slowest caching mode (also using
			textures 256x256)
All texture caching modes use 16 bit (A1R5G5B1) textures.

	3) Frame Rate Limiting: you can choose:
		- autodetect: original FPS (50 - PAL, 60 - NTSC); if selected
'*' sign will be shown next to FPS
		- no limit: graphics will be show fastest as it can
		- custom: enter manualy your desired FPS (can be changed
while emulator is running, in gpu menu); if selected
'+" sign will be shown next to FPS
You can also choose if gpu menu should be displayed automaticaly
on startup, and you can configure gpu menu keys by clicking
on a small button with three dots on it.

	4) Recording Options:
		- Standard Video size: this is a scaled video output size that
can be full size, half or quarter of the display size.
		- Custom Video Size: custom width and height (some video
compressors require for width and height to be
			divisible by 16)
		- Frame rate scale: output frame rate will be 60 (50 for PAL)
divided by scale (eg. if the game is NTSC and you
choose scale '2' avi frame rate will be 30 FPS).
		- Compression: you can choose 16 bit or 24 bit compression,
choosing 24 bit compression and 32 bit fulscreen mode
(or set your desktop to 32 bit while using window mode)
you can better image in	mdecs, but the main reason why
there is 24 bit	compression is that some codecs
(like DivX 4) don't support 16 bit compression.
Demos are saved in emulator subdirectory DEMOS with
		name DEMOXXXX.AVI.

	5) Compatibility:
-VRAM Emulation: this option is on by default; this mode
may not be supported by older cards (I don't know)
			(some games work better with this option on;
			eg. Final Fantasy 9)

5) GPU Menu
------------
Default keys for gpu menu are:
		DELETE - show/hide menu
		INSERT	- start/stop recording
		HOME/END - decrease/increase selected option
		PAGE UP/DOWN - prevoius/next option

In gpu menu following thing are displayed:
		FPS - Frames Per Second
		CL - Custom Limit (1-200)
		FS - Frame Skip (0-10)
		CT - Caching Type (0-2)

6) Version history
-------------------
December, 17th 2001. Version 0.92
----------------------------------
	- repaired major bug in configuration which caused emu crash in
Windows ME but not in Windows 2000/XP (thanks to
Johanne Deschamps for reporting a bug); apparently this
bug was present from the first release
December, 14th 2001. Version 0.91
----------------------------------
	- added FPSE native support (don't put plugin in plugin\psemu
directory of FPSE and used it through GPUPsEmu - mdec
will not be shown correctly; instead put it directly
in plugin directory and in configuration, for 'Graphics'
select 'DarkMan's D3D Driver'; TIP - if you are playing
'Parasite Eve 2' use texture caching type 2 or 3 for better
speed - you can change them while you are in emulator:
press DEL to show gpu menu and select CT and change it
		to 1 or 2)
December, 4th 2001. Version 0.9
---------------------------------
	- New 'Compatibility' option: VRAM Emulation; it should fix
problems with some games (eg. Finaly Fantasy 9 battle
		screens are working OK now)
	- Custom Video recording size and 24 bit compression codecs
	- added texture window support
	- fixed some small texture misalignments (I thought I fixed it
		earlier)
	- GPU Menu keys can be changed now
	- added analog/mouse indicator in gpu menu
	- DLL is not using MFC any more

November, 8th 2001. Version 0.8
---------------------------------
	- added new caching mode to support older graphics
cards (that support textures up to 256x256)
	- caching mode can be changed while emulator is running
	- added custom frame limit
	- now there are two dlls, optimized and unoptimized
(if you are having problems with optimized version
try using unoptimized - it is more compatible)
October, 27th 2001. Version 0.7
---------------------------------
	- fixed mdecs problem (now they are fast again)
	- changed frame rate control based on Petes code
(although he gave me this code some time ago
I haven't used it till now; thanks Pete)
	- changed "move image" and "block fill" routines
(now some things, that used "block fill" for
		erasing screen, work faster)
	- fixed bug in memory read (Resident Evil games
and some others are now working fine)
October, 24th 2001. Version 0.6
---------------------------------
	- added Savestate Picture functions
	- while improved some things other got worse (mdecs
		are slow)
September, 25th 2001. Version 0.5
---------------------------------
	- renamed gpuTvrd to gpuDemoHard
	- rewritten texture caching (thanks to Pete Bernert)
	- transparency improved (not perfect, could not get
		correct transparency mode in DirectX)
	- added support for polylines (although nobody uses it
it's not bad to have it, you can still see it
by testing this plugin with my GpuTest program)
	- and the biggest thing is support for recording demos

August, 27th 2001. Version 0.2
------------------------------
	- Texture Caching problem still remains
	- Rewritten all primitives drawing functions
	- added some transparency
	- this plugin works best with Tekken 3 (well comparing to
other games it does); because of texture caching it
can often be slow and transparency is not working well

August, 20th 2001. Version 0.1
------------------------------
First release version, very bad, large memory usage, no
transparency (not all but some with sprites)
