----------------------------

oO WTF is UPCP? Oo
---------------------------
This is a single patcher that will (hopefully) patch -=ALL PS2 CDs=- in order
for them to work properly with the 'single swap' swap-trick method.
-- THIS DOES NOT DEFEAT COPY PROTECTION --

oO what do i need? Oo
---------------------------
**	a playstation 2
**	an original util disc. version 1.00 or 1.01

oO Misc... Oo
---------------------------
This program also adds a special logo to the startup... im not sure exactly
where it is displayed since i dont have a ps2 or any ps2 cds and have never
even seen a ps2 boot... but i am assuming it is similar to the psx1 black
boot screen with the 'licensed by' string and PS picture.

There is an inbuilt random element that will add the logo and make it sometimes
a black logo on white, and sometimes a white logo on black. you won't know which
one it is till you play it! :)

oO Swap Tricks... Oo
---------------------------
i guess i better show how to do the swap tricks in case you dont know how...
first of all, to use any kind of swap trick you need to fix up your ps2
a little bit... follow the instructions below then you are ready to attempt
one of the swap tricks below that...

::Fix Up you PS2::
undo all the screws on your Place your Playstation 2.

remove the top cover but be careful, there are two connected cables,
so remove the cover slowly.

Remove the black disk (there is just a bit of glue).
Under the black disk you'll see a white disk, later you have to extract the white
disk from the dock. Extract the Eject & Reset button from the dock,
there are no screws, so just pull out.

Now remove the 4 screws (1-4).
remove the cd-reader cover and extract the white disk.
The white (magnetic) disk is needed to lock the cd-rom.

Now you can see the cd-rom reader

Ok, that's all. Now we can try to play the backup copy.

Connect to the PS2 all cables (power, joypad, video).
Make sure the PS2 is turned off before you connect cables.

::Time Swap Trick::
Turn-off your PS2
Insert the original PS2 Utility Disk cd
Place the White Disk in place (Locker)
Press the Reset button to Turn-on the PS2

Wait 10 seconds

Ok, now it's the time to swap, you have 5-10 seconds to swap disks
Remove the White Disk (Locker), Remove the original CD
Insert the backup copy and replace the White Disk (locker)

Now your backup should be working!

Remember: 10 seconds after you pressed the Reset Button
and then 5-10 seconds to change the disk.

:: Harder swap trick::
Turn on the main power switch (on the rear).

Place the original PS2 Utility Disk cd into the cd-reader and then place the
white disk on top to lock the cd.

Now press the Reset/Power button.
The cd-reader will start at 1x speed, then after a second it will go to 4x speed...

Now it's the time to be fast! Be careful, the cd is rotating!!!!
Remove the white disk and remove the original disk, insert the backup copy and place the white disk.
You must do these operations before the Playstaton 2 logo appears on the screen.

If you did everything in the right way you have your backup copy running.
Otherwise TURN-OFF the PS2 by pressing for 3-4 seconds the Reset Button and try again.
You can't just repeat the operation by doing a simple reset.
You must Turn-Off the PS2 by pressing for 3-4 seconds the Reset button.

You need pratice to make your backup copys work this way!!!
