RockNES v4.00 Beta 5
posted in Emulator Release by spacetiger on Oct 28th, 2004The Windows version of RockNES has been seeing a lot of action lately. This release is another beta version, but there are a lot of changes:
- Major pAPU fix, precise timing and clean sound output
- VRCVI sound driver updated & partially rewritten
- DMC/VRCVI drivers clock using PPU cycles
- Sound output can be disabled
- Fixed sprite zero pixel collision, 'Wagyan Land' games work properly, plus fixes flickering scores (Cobra Triangle) and a freeze in Punch-Out!!
- Preliminary fix for MMC2/MMC4 support (Punch-Out!! and Fire Emblem)
- GUI colors are displayed correctly, no matter the palette or video mode
- Fixed 'pixelated' and 'scanlines' video filters, and its screen centering
