MESS v0.88 for Windows
posted in Emulator Release by spacetiger on Oct 26th, 2004The Windows port of MESS is now up to version 0.88. Changes in this version include the incorporation of MAME v0.88 and a new GUI for Imgtool. Here's the full list:
- New System Drivers Supported:
- Dragon Alpha
- System Driver Changes:
- COCO: Fixed a bug in DMK disk loading (games encoded with certain forms of copy protection now run)
- MICROBEE: Added natural language support
- MICROBEE: Added multi screen support
- Imgtool Changes:
- Created a new Windows GUI for Imgtool
- Added an 'identify' command that can be used to attempt to identify the type of any given image
- Preliminary CoCo OS-9 disk image module
- Source Changes:
- The core is based on MAME 0.88
- Fixed a latent problem where part of the natural language system still thought that we use 16-bit ports
- Fixed a bug in core floppy handling that prevented writes to CoCo DMK images from working
- Removed mess/snprintf.c and mess/snprintf.h
