Golden Axe for headbangers!

Seems a Brazilian metal band focused on videogame music has created a rework of the Golden Axe soundtrack. They weren't finished there, however. After the remixing was finished, they decided to recompile MAME to support their soundtrack along with the emulator's Golden Axe driver. Nino fills us in on the project: "The brazilian vgmusic band MegaDriver is proud to present their new *TRIBUTE* project: Metal Axe. The band have recreated the entire soundtrack of the great game Golden Axe and based on M.A.M.E. source code have released a version of this emulator capable of playing the new arranged songs in the orginal arcade game. Also known as 'The Golden Axe Remix Project', Metal Axe includes remixed versions of the songs in MP3 format, the modified version of M.A.M.E. (compiled exclusively for the Golden Axe game) and a front-end. For obvious reasons, no ROMs are included with Metal Axe. Metal Axe is currently in *beta* stage..." Wow! Beavis & Butt-head would be very proud. You may download this release directly from the Megadriver website: Metal Axe (22MB installation package). Interesting, to say the least. Say, where's the Death=Adder when you need 'im? Heh, heh, heh. *wink*
