GenRomSuite v2.7

posted in Frontend News by narvick on Jul 21st, 2004

Tom Maneiro has updated his Genesis frontend/utility suite to v2.7, adding more features and fixing more bugs. Also, from this version on, GenRomSuite will be published under the GNU General Public License. Read COPYING.TXT that comes with the program for more information. What's new:
  • [Launcher]: Added support to launch ROMs on Kega Fusion through commandline (requires Fusion v0.1c or newer).
  • [Header Editor]: Trimmed "Comments" field to 28 bytes due to it was overwriting some other ROM information.
  • [Header Editor]: Minor code fixes.
  • [ROM Converter]: Fixed a minor issue when converting ROMs with the same file as original and target file, causing some issues on some emulators (like Fusion) due to missing/extra bytes. Now the original file is deleted JUST BEFORE writing the new ROM to disk.
