GameEx 0.75

posted in Frontend News by spacetiger on Oct 12th, 2004

The author of GameEx, the oft-updated MAME frontend, believes that the program is becoming very stable. This latest release fixes many of the bugs that have been plaguing people and he hopes that the next one will deserve a 1.xx designation. Here are the changes since v0.73:
  • The easy configuration tool has been rewritten to use some windows API code to be compatible with v1.0 of the .net framework
  • GameEx will only use about 0-1% CPU if it does not have the window focus
  • Fixed bug that caused an exception when a screensaver kicked in
  • Fixed bug in which update list was selectable with the mouse when HideUpdateList=True
  • GameEx will now close when shutting down or restarting the PC
  • Now with option to play video at startup
  • Easy Configuration tool now included with the install
We have this on the MAME Frontends page.
