fubarNES

posted in Emulator Release by narvick on Mar 29th, 2004

Erling Andersen wrote in to tell us that he's coded a new Java applet NES emulator called fubarNES. There doesn't appear to be any downloadable applet or Java program either, one can only play it from the webpage. Note that this requires a fairly fast computer, especially when scaling is enabled, and requires the Java Runtime Environment v1.4.2_01 or higher. Here are some more features:
  • Supports mappers MM1, MMC3, CNROM, UNROM, GNROM
  • Full sound support, 44.1KHz
  • Fairly good graphics emulation, but not perfect yet
  • Scaling, scanline effect
Give it a try at Erling Online!
