Name	Description
DGen	This is the Unix port of Dave's DGen, it runs, using SDL for graphics and sound.This emulator has been discontinued.
Generator	A newer Genesis emulator, this one doesn't have joystick support or real-time saving or any of that stuff, and the author considers the graphic display to be pretty slow, but the author seems dedicated and motivated, and as he says "To all the Sonic lovers out there I hope this brings us all one step closer to perfect emulation of our beloved hedgehog."
Gens	Gens has a high compatibility rate and good speed. It also has great SEGA-CD support and now 32x emulation too! The Linux port of Gens was written by Stéphane Akhoun and Caz.
Gens/GS	Gens/GS is a version of Gens maintained by GerbilSoft. The main goal of Gens/GS is to clean up the source code and combine features from various forks of Gens.
Gnome Gens	This is an unofficial, experimental build of Gens which runs with GNOME. The author wishes you do not install this under suid root, so don't!
Kega Fusion	Fusion is a Sega SG1000, SC3000, Master System, Game Gear, Genesis/Megadrive, SegaCD/MegaCD and 32X emulator for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux.
Regen	Very good Sega Genesis/MegaDrive emulator runs many games with or very close to 100% compatibility.
XGenEM	The first Unix (Linux PPL-i486) Genesis emu that I know about anyway. Newest release includes a speed-up, faster priority handling, lower memory requirements, and higher compatibility. This emu requires a working version of SDL. There is also a nifty demo for this emulator by Censor if you don't have any rom images (that would illegal wink)
