What do you guys think about this scumbag getting off with just a slap on the wrist for funneling money into his Texas reelection campaign? Getting off because it was his lawyers and not him doing the transaction which is a loophole in the law is total bullshit. Maybe those lawyers need to go to jail instead for it seems if he didn't break the law they sure as hell did. <img src=smilies/cwm11.gif>

This man has been the dirty behind the scenes man in politics for a while now. He's got connections up the ass. Everyone hates his fucking guts because he's the guy that can fuck you over if you get in his way.

He'll get that at the election when his own people kick his ass out of office for all the votes for these companies he's made that may have been conterproductive for the people he's representing. What's he care, they don't make the big contributions to him but those companies sure do apparently and they don't seem to care that it's illegal or not. <img src=smilies/magbiggrin.gif>

I remember getting the go-ahead from my American History teacher in high school to get up in front of the class and read a lengthy article which basically protrayed that man as the embodiment of what's wrong with American politics. Most people hadn't even heard of the guy. I think he was the minority whip at the time; he had the connections to be Speaker, but preferred to stay in the shadows with the lobbyists, corporate interests, 'dispellers' of global warming (hahaha!), and other such characters. People who didn't go his way got the short end of the stick and were buried in appropriations bills. He doesn't seem to opposed to gerrymandering to maintain a constituency comfortaby in his favor. I believe the Democrats, in their eternal naivety, tried to get this guy indicted under RICO charges.

I noticed that Fox News and the Republican party are doing damage control nationally on this. If you'll notice Bill Bennett made this huge racial comment right after the Delay case ended in court. People were so angry about him getting off but the what happens. Bill Bennett makes this huge racial comment and all of a sudden everyone forgets the Delay thing instantly. Coincidence or damage control for Delay. I think this is all according to some lame as plan to get Delays ass out of hot water.
