This was on Slashdot 2 weeks ago. Old. Microsoft issued a fix, the fix sucks. You may still be vulnerable. If you're not using the latest edition of Firefox, go upgrade now, the old version is vulnerable, and the new version uses different hooks and libraries.

So THAT is what that was about...I remember seeing the klaxons going off RED ALERT RED ALERT SECURITY EXPLOIT, but not seeing a huge explanation. I always update to the new version of FireFox (and ThunderBird), so it was no real problem for me anyway.

What sucks is that this can be revirsed! I have seen stuff die, move on, or become suck as soon it starts to become interesting. Stop doing things so fast, internet, I can't keep up!<img src=smilies/magbiggrin.gif>

Who gives a fuck if its old? Do you want to appear hip by your prior oh-so-hip knowledge of everything that happens on the Internet? Are you one of those people who stops listening to music once its "old"?

For the record, I did not know about the information he posted, and I found it useful.

Firefox was never vulnerable. Most other GTK applications were however.
