Vertical bounce on TV. Easily fixable?

I have a pretty nice 27" Panasonic TV w/ built-in DVD player that I found by the dumpster of a Sears. The picture quality is great, and the DVD player works fine, but after about five minutes of playing (DVD, coax, line in; source doesn't matter) the picture starts to bounce vertically. Is there any way I could repair it myself, or should I just find a shop?

Looks like a sync issue. Which also means you'd have to send it in for service...or poke around in the service menu yourself.

My uncle had a TV that did that, we're guessing the flyback transformer is on it's way out and it can't produce the voltages high enough to keep a solid picture on the screen anymore. Don't know for sure, but it might be something to look at if you have the equipment.

I thought about that, but I can't find any way to get into the service menu.

Panasonic is tricky t get in the service menu, I have a sylvania TV and it either dosent hae one, or none of the codes I find work. There was a post here a while back on different places to get to the service menu, so try that first. I'll try to find something later.
