If you mean 'pirating commercial DS games', there are several generic loaders that would allow you to do this with pretty much any flashcart providing the flashcart is large enough and the game is under 32 MB (256 mbits right?). Although please, keep the pirating to a bare minimum. >_>
If you mean DS homebrew, for the DS Lite make sure you get a PassMe2 and it should work just fine. I have an old old Flash Advance cart and it does work. Just keep in mind if it's one of the older Flash Advance carts you might need to shave down the cart's casing or take it out of the casing (apparently you can also fit one into a GB/C game cartridge casing as well somehow). I'm not sure about the DS Lite, but I do know a 'regular' DS needs you to do this for it to fit.
Also, no DS homebrew that loads assets from a GBA flash cart (say...HexenDS) will be larger than 32 MB (256 mbit), at least for the forseeable future as any more than that requires knowledge of how that specific flashcart does bankswitching (the GBA/DS can only see 256 mbits of GBA cart ROM space at a time, flash carts get around this by having a command that switches to another 'bank' of ROM). This is known for some carts, but not all, and you'd pretty much have to make a version for each flash cart, and nobody wants to do that I don't think.
*edit*
Oh yah, and the e-Merger won't really do anything for the DS, as the DS can't play GB/GBC games without the use of an emulator.
