Project 64 for PS2

I was wondering after all the hype over the xbox having such a nice dashboard with videos, emulators, hdloader, etc... I wanted to know if Project64 could be run off a cd or dvd right onto the PS2? If such a thing could be made. I love Zelda and Mario and would love to see some shining hope as to its development or a way to link PC to PS2 running Project64. this must be possible.......<img src=smilies/mystery.gif>
