Default Glenn Beck Petition

It seems people are so pissed off at Gleen Beck and his Fox TV Show that they started a petition and 4 advertisers have already DUMPED the show woo hoo. Check out the page and please sign the petition and show Fox TV what people and advertisers really think about the lies and twisted facts that they call news.

If you just want to sign the petition without reading the article then go here.

Thanks to anyone and everyone helping out.

If you sign the petition without reading the article, doesn't that put you on the same level as the people at Fox News?

I didn't even realize Glenn Beck was on Fox News now, though it's certainly appropriate. Last time I actually watched him, he was on CNBC and I only know that because he was on before The Big Idea with Donnie Deutsch which is an excellent show.

Not a problem here. If someone hit me in the face I'd kick them in the nuts, punch them in the face and then spit on them so getting to their level isn't a big deal since I'm not a news network that really can't happen. I also know that these companies will actually check the facts since if they have contracts with Fox their legal teams will actually need something viable to show if they are going to dump a contract immediately. Maybe a lot of these companies only look at numbers and haven't actually watched Fox before, a lot of businesses rely on figures and if they actually sat down and listened to some of the crap that Fox pushes for news they might be shocked if they had no idea before viewing.

I think it was phrased a little strangely. The text of the petition is right next to the place where you "sign" it.

Also, while Fox News may be entitled to their opinions, they aren't entitled to make up their facts, and they have such a history of doing that, I'm surprised they haven't been sued (although, it is notoriously difficult for a public figure to sue for libel or slander, even when it's obvious).

In the U.S., anyway. Britain has sterner defamation laws.

Yes, because online petitions have always worked.

I mean I'm all for Glenn Beck and the rest of the fox news shutting the fuck up, but an online petition is just futile.

According to the article they already have lost 4 big sponsors and if this keeps going it'll make Fox think twice before backing people like Palin, Limbaugh, or any others who spread bullshit and call it fact/truth. I don't necessarily want Fox gone I just want them to change.

As much as I dislike Fox News, they are allowed to have their collective opinions. Best thing to do is just not watch the channel and go listen to NPR or something. :P

Beck preaches laundered information for lemmings. These "movements" are the agendas of anti-democratic monopolists that pay well for their disinformation to reach a base demographic known for taking marching orders without reasonable dissent.

He said Obama's health care reform is actually about reparations. Reparations! You don't have to read too far into the subtext to see the racism being used as a not-so-clever ploy to incite this demographic to do the bidding of powers that shouldn't be.

What this is really about is Health Care. This isn't about being concerned that you, specifically, can't find a better source of information than Fox News. It's not about the right to free speech. Private interests can pull sponsorship for media institution's franchises if they've gone AWOL.

And it shouldn't take a major act of terrorism for Americans to find the common thread.

Maybe Glenn's warped political interest in health care could be extrapolated from his opinion on the families of 9-11 victims with this infamous quote from September 2005: "when I see a 9-11 victim family on television, or whatever, I'm just like, "Oh shut up! I'm so sick of them because they're always complaining. And we did our best for them."

Just imagine, in defense of the insurance industry/class warfare, what he might say to the upset family member of someone who has died because they were uninsured or under-covered: "Fox News Pundits did their best for you." haha

Wow, that IS worse than anything else I've seen out of Fox News. I thought the misinformation about the health care reform (wether you agree with it or not) was bad enough.
