so we're sitting in the parking lot listening to coast to coast am on the radio drinking coffee...we hear about a suspect doing suspicious things. nothing new. we go to walk around and then we hear:
"14 19 county i've got him at gunpoint"
then the suspect flees the scene and they call up like 3 different depts to assist....they call the cab companies and have them put a watch out for this guy. we hear:
"county all units we've got a call from so and so cab company for a pickup of a black male at such and such going to such and such".
holy crap. it's like a 15 minute sting operation from this point. they have the supervisor in the bronco, the k9 unit in the bronco plus 3 patrol cars "in position". cab pulls up, guy gets in, cap pulls away and radios in saying that it's a positive id on the passenger. all of a sudden:
"14 21 all units we've got him stopped on the bridge"
these cars TEAR out of their hiding places...and all you hear is "GET ON THE GROUND. ON THE GROUND NOW."
no incident...they radioed in that they have him in custody and started to run the info on him...he has a NY inmate card on him and he's on parole. then they transport to jail for questioning.
the boys in blue strike again:
bad guys 0
good guys 1
