Well boy did i ever have some great welcome home from school. After all the pressures of the day, i'm ready to unwind and relax, maybe have a snack to eat.
And what better way than walking through the door to find your mother on the top of the stairs in tears. Sobbing uncrontrolably. Apparently my dad's a cheating asshole. Apparently my mom's friends and sister's had suspected all along.
Great, like i need the added stress.
So i give her a nice long hug, and tell her everything's going to be alright. (I just hate lying to people ). I get her into her bed and tell her to just rest, she's devestated. So i get her some water.
Wow, thanks Dad, for the great responsability of cleaning after your shitty mess

Been there on both ends my man. It really sucks. Mom betrays dad. Dad is disgruntled. Step-Dad betrays Mom. Mom cries for 2 months straight. Just be a strong person and be patient with them.
Lord knows I struggled to be supportive to both of them, but still, if your Dad took off, you only have to deal with your mom. You did the right thing with her the other night. Just let her know that you're gonna be there for her is she needs you.
Good luck brotha. Stay strong.

My mom still denies ever cheating on my dad around when i was 8 years old (with her current husband), but some of us still maintain that she did (and my grandma says she saw her... and she isnt one of those weird people who make up lies like that). My situation was a lot different than yours, but it sounds like you handled it well. Sorry you have to deal with this due to your dad's decision to be a retard. Good luck, buddy.

My mom had known since the first few months of their marriage that my stepdad was cheating on her, but seeing as it wouldn't have been financially viable for her to leave him right off the bat, she waited until September of last year, made an offer on a house and put a mortgage on the house without him knowing, had him sign a quit-claim deed, and we moved the fuck out. See, the thing about my mother is that she has the presence of mind to know that despairing for months on end over a bastard just means that the bastard succeeds. The trick is to get angry, and moreover, get even, especially by publicly humiliating the bastard like she is doing right now. Hey, I don't feel bad for him. She said that if he made the divorce equitable and fair that she would've just left quietly, but now she's putting pretty much all of his dirty little secrets in the divorce papers to reduce his credibility to zilch and to provide interesting reading material for any of the court employees. Given the fact that the guy's a rather wealthy member of society and a somewhat major player in this county's Republicunt Party, I have to say that it's quite funny.

My dad has done it nine times, only now is my mom getting a divorce. So a word of advice, separation is good.

I'm not even going to begin to relate tales of my dad's infidelity. It sucks to be in that situation, I feel for you. You handled it so well. Take care of yourself.

why? why do people do such things? Its just so many people just don't care about anyone but themselves, and will stomp on toes just to get what they want.
