View Full Version : Depressed...

Been fighting a stomache virus for the past week (which prevented me from going to Penn. and Mass. to do some job search) . . . Finally got over the bug just in time to go to work. It's snowing . . . again. Earlier today it was a complete white-out for a little while (ie- 2 hours).

Anyway, I've just finished looking for some of those "walk-a-thons" you see on tv all the time . . . You know, walk 20 miles to help AIDS research -or- run 10 miles to fight cancer . . . I've always wanted to do something like that. It would be a good chance to meet some new people, see some new places, do something different, and indirectly help a good cause all at the same time . . . . . . . Now if I could only come up with the $100 needed for permission to walk . . . Then I'd only need to come up with the minimum $1000 in sponsor money (or simply pay it myself) . . . . . I had no idea that walking for a good cause could be so incredibly expensive to the walker. You'd think that certain businesses would foot the bill for them.

Depressed about a bunch of other shit too, but I've got to get myself to work now . . . God knows how much of a hurry I'm in to stay awake until 8am doing virtually nothing in an empty house where everyone else is sleeping soundly.

$100 to walk, I've never heard of that before, that's bullshit of them doing that, charity is charity and you shouldn't have to pay to help, that's just stupid, that means poor helpful people are excluded. :)

Well, the money needs to come from somewhere . . . I just wish it came from businesses that claim to donate to charity by having the little jars to accept your change (ie- the business isn't giving up any of its profits to charity... rather, it's allowing you to give some of your pocket change to charity under the business name).

Oh yeah, and I didn't have to sweep snow off my car after all last night . . . I had to sweep off the snow and scrape off a layer of ice. Of course, I forgot all about the snow and ice when I got stuck behind some jackass doing 30 in a 55 in a no passing zone (with someone tailgating behind me with their brights on... all 4 head lights)

Got to work and did the same exact stuff as I do every week. With any kind of luck, I'll be able to get out of state this coming week (ie- not get sick and have to go to the bathroom every 15 minutes).

Anyway, time to go to sleep until the better half of the day is all used up.

Try this out, adjust your rearview mirror till it reflects the light from thier headlights right back at them, even if their doing it on purpose, most people will last about a minute at most with their own headlight being reflected back at them and it they didn't mean to do that with the lights it'll teach them a lesson they won't soon forget, almost made someone drive off the road with that one, my uncle has a 3 million candlepower spotlight that plugs in the cigarette lighter and if someone does that to him a one second flash from that will totally blind them and usually stop their stupid behavior. :)

Don't let a cop see you do it or they'll bust you, the spotlight is for extreme circumstances, the mirror works well though and they can't bust you for someones illegal highbeams blinding themselves. :)

Welcome to my world. I'm always depressed about something. Money, social life, and of course my lack of real freetime to do what I fucking want to. I'm sick of paying for a house and living meagrly...oh and I lost my job this week. How's that for a *boohoo* story. The only thing that helps me is games, games, and friends. Oh and the occasional post on a certain MSG board. ^_^

I've tried that many times, but I live in an area with stupid people . . . Inbreeding probably . . . They just flash their lights at you (as if trying to tell you that your mirror is blinding them) and keep them on high.

Really? What message board is that? I've been looking for one to go to.
